Psalm 83

Psalm 83 and Islam - By Walid Shoebat

I lived it (Psalm 83) during the Six Day War when, a few days prior, we were demonstrating in favor of Gamal Abd Al-Nasser the prime minister of Egypt who called for the destruction of Israel - and just within hours before the battle and before even a bullet was fired - we were shocked to see everyone fleeing. People piled up in cars or ran on foot across the Jordan River. Why? No one knows but, simply put, FEAR struck their hearts as Arab media announced that they were going to blow everything up so it was better for everyone to flee to Jordan.

Look at the verses of Psalm 83 carefully; they are SO ACCURATE and most people do not pay attention to each word:

"So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm." (v15)

There is only ONE element which caused Israel to win and it was definitely not their strength since the Arab armies were outnumbered 100 to 1 and 100 to 1 in weapons. The reason the Arabs lost the war was the fear factor.

Now in Psalm 81 there is an interesting verse:

"The haters of the Lord would pretend submission to Him, But their fate would endure forever " (v15)

So it's speaking of a people who hate God when they think in their mind that they submit to God. The word "Muslims" means "submitters to God"; Islam means "submission".

In essence, when one read Psalm 83:2 "For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head." What this is saying is that the enemies in this Psalm (Ishmaelites, Hagarites, Assyrians, Lot, Edom, and the people of Tyre) who think in their minds they submit to God, in reality are full of pride and indeed are haters of God.

Notice also that this prophecy is future - that the punishment would be forever; it would be at the end of days. So, in reality Psalm 83 has NOT been fully fulfilled; there is another event that must happen in order for it to be fully be fulfilled. Here are my reasons:

"That [men] may know that thou, whose name alone [is] JEHOVAH, [art] the most high over all the earth. " (Psalm 83:18)

The reason God will allow Israel to be victorious is one reason: to witness with tough love to the Arabs and Muslims. I am one of few who followed this verse, but five-sixths of the future armies will perish and the one-sixth remainder will recognize the God of Israel.

Notice on the clip they took great care to interpret the nations. This is why I love the clip; it's the first I've seen which included TURKEY. Look at it again.

Why did they do that? Simply put, Assyria included Turkey; not only Syria and Iraq. So we have a future showdown with Turkey when Messiah comes.

Listen: we had a Six Day War. This is significant and the church is asleep at the wheels. There is ONE day left to make it seven - the Day of the Lord. We will have a ONE DAY WAR which will be called "The Battle over Jerusalem" in which believers will fight. In all the context of the day of the Lord he has an army and a camp with bodies that cannot be destroyed. This is in Joel chapter 2: "...a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it" (v2) These are people, human beings.

"Though they lunge between the weapons, They are not cut down" - Definitely only once that a people cannot be cut down (killed) is in their glorified body state. On that day it's "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come." (v31)

And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp [is] very great" (v11) Who is this army? The people who have glorified bodies!

"...let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet." (v16-b) When will this happen? When we meet the Lord; where else will the bridegroom (Messiah) meet the bride?

"And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered" (v32)

I know of no one even looking at these things!

Now back to Psalm 83 - "Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna" (verse 11)

Messiah is compared to Gideon who is an interesting character; he represents the War Messiah. This story is documented in Judges 8: "So Gideon arose and killed Zebah and Zalmunna, and took the crescent ornaments that were on their camels' necks." (Judges 8:21)

This the Messiah will do as well. Look at Turkey and many Muslim flags, their symbol is what? A crescent moon. Look at every Muslim country and mosque - the crescent is at the highest point.

If you doubt what I am saying, then look at this verse which will put any doubts at ease; the clue comes from Isaiah:

"I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth [in] righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear...." (Isaiah 45:23)

This is the famous "every knee will bow", yet most Christians never study the rest. Look at two verses after that:

"Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle" (Isaiah 46:1)

What was on the beasts and cattle? Crescent moons. This will bow, and God calls it Bel.

One of the greatest authors of Islamic history is Arthur Jeffrey. Here are some of his quotes:

"Allah is a pre-Islamic name corresponding to the Babylonian god known as Bel".

Allah is the moon god of Babylonia - Bel. This symbol will bow. In other words all minarets with crescents on top will be taken down - to bow.

Mystery Babylon is NOT Rome as popularly thought or the Catholic Church, but Islam and Arabia. Do a search on Arabia in the Bible and see for yourself, then do a search on Rome and you will see about 15 hits with not one instance of a punishment.

Now, Galatians 4 has some interesting verses:

"Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Hagar."

"For this Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia"

Why Arabia? Why does bondage, slavery, submission, and false faith come out of Arabia? Isn't submission [Islam] the same as bondage?

Because the author of Galatians was a prophet - he was predicting the bottom line. "So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free."

So I got out of Islam/bondage/desert/empty/hagar and I joined the free woman Sarah/Israel/Messiah!

Woman is always allegoric of a faith or a people. Israel is called a woman, we are called the bride, a woman; our faith in Galatians is described as a woman. Yet, they argue that "the woman riding the beast" is the Catholic Church because they honor Mary - a woman.

Nonsense.

Arabia is what was predicted all along and is what causes all the hell we live in. After all, didn't the Euro fall a bit as a result of Muslims causing havoc in France in early November 2005? Where did Islam come from - the BOND woman - Arabia. Don't all the kings of the earth sleep in bed with Arabia? Who is the most favorite harlot for President Bush - Arabia or Rome? What wine is the favored wine - the Oil of Arabia or the Pope's Chalice? Why would Evangelicals say that Rome is the harlot, then run to watch The Passion of the Christ produced by a Catholic with some Catholic dogma in it?

Now we come to the conclusion of the Psalm:

"That [men] may know that thou, whose name alone [is] JEHOVAH, [art] the most high over all the earth." (Psalm 83:18)

Look at that verse above carefully. Do you know what Muslims battle cry in every battle, victory, or demonstration is? Does the term "Allah Akbar" ring a bell? What does it mean? It means: "Allah is Greater". Greater than who? Greater than any God, especially the God of the Jews and the Christians. Allah Akbar means that Allah is the most high - the greatest.

This is blasphemy!

So, what is the essence of Psalm 83? It is verse 18, that men may know that only JEHOVAH'S NAME is the most high and NOT Allah.

Allah Akbar is a great blasphemy:

"And he [Antichrist] opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. " (Rev 13:6)

What is in a name?

"...they shall call his name Emmanuel," which being interpreted is, "God with us".

A name has an interpretation; it is significant - it's a title and not simply a name. Jesus' name is not Emmanuel per say, but it's a message - God is with us!

What do Muslims deny? They deny that God came to visit earth; they deny the Son and Father and the Holy spirit are all God - ONE GOD:

"Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. " (1 John 2:22)

Muslims are vehement in denying the attributes of the God of the Bible. As a matter of fact, the SOLE purpose of Islam is to supposedly restore God's attribute specifically to deny what Christians say about God - that Jesus is God, or part of the "trinity". This is the first issue every Muslim will argue over.

What does this mean? It means the Antichrist cannot be Jew since the Jewish faith does not deny Abba (Our Father), or the Holy Spirit (Ruach Ha-Qudesh)! In other words, the essence of this Psalm is that God will restore to the world His name and His essence, and His attributes where everyone will finally recognize His Name.
